Welcome to The Self-Love Garden.

We’re a virtual sanctuary here to help you grow self-love through actionable skills and nourishing practices, so you can experience more joy in your life, confidence in your Self and freedom in your body.

Pull the weeds of self-hate and plant the seeds of self-love.

It’s time to let yourself bloom.

Self-Love transformed my life. Now, I help other women unlock it within themselves so they too can experience its magic.

After years of hating myself and my body, I had a mental breakdown in 2014 that initiated me into the life-long journey of self-love. At the time, I didn’t have a map or anyone to guide me. I stumbled, tripped and crawled my way through the mud to find self-love. What I learned along the way is that self-love doesn’t happen overnight. It’s not an achievement or a destination to be reached. It’s more like a garden that requires constant tending.

Today, I am living a life beyond my wildest dreams! But here’s the thing. I still tend to my garden of self-love every day.

Everyone’s self-love journey is unique. But I don’t believe you should have to figure it out all by yourself or feel alone in the process.

That's why I created the Self-Love Garden. To meet you wherever you are in your own journey and serve as a guiding light as you build your own garden of self-love.

The Self-Love Garden Philosophy

  • 1) Self-Love is a Daily Action & a Life Long Practice

In our fast-paced culture, many of us are taught to have an achievement mindset. We set a goal and we do everything in our power to reach that goal. Then, when we reach that goal we immediately move on to the next thing. We win awards and trophies, are granted certificates and diplomas, and often have something to "show" for all of our hard work.

Self-love however, is not a goal that you can reach and move on from. Self-love is a daily action and a life long practice. Even on days when you don’t feel love for yourself, you can still practice self-love. Just like a garden, you have to tend to yourself everyday, every week, every month, year after year.

Over time, you will discover that the more consistently you practice self-love the more you feel love for yourself. It will be impossible for others not to notice this positive change in you. They’ll think “I want what she’s having.” Your undeniable radiance will cause a ripple effect and inspire others to join you on the path of self-love.

  • 2) Building Body Love Lays the Foundation for your Self-Love Garden

Your body is a vessel to experience life! It deserves the utmost respect, care and compassion. It is impossible to fully love yourself if you don’t have a positive relationship with your body because your body contains all of you!

Learning how to create a loving and nourishing relationship with your body however, isn’t about changing what you look like or trying to reach some impossible standard. Instead, it’s about learning how to tune into and listen to the voice of your body and your inner self. It’s about appreciating all the ways your body supports you every day instead of criticizing its appearance.

When you build a loving relationship with your body, you will become more in tune with your inner needs, wants and desires. This will help you open up to pleasure, make decisions that are aligned with your values, strengthen your intimate relationships and cultivate inner trust.

  • 3) You can't Grow without Tough Self-Love

Often times, people are introduced to self-love in the form of self-care. They are encouraged to buy face masks, take hot bubble baths and treat themselves to a delightful desert. While these are wonderful things to enjoy—they cannot and will not cultivate the true feelings of self-love you need to overcome self-hate or self-loathing long-term.

You need to dig deeper than having a 5-step skincare routine. You need to get your hands dirty. You need to uncover the beliefs, actions and behaviors that are preventing you from loving yourself.

I like to refer to this part of the work as practicing "tough self-love." Tough Self-Love means taking an honest look at yourself and your life and deciding what needs to change for your highest good—even if it's hard. When you apply tough self-love to your life, you will learn how to set healthy boundaries, speak up for yourself, cut out harmful habits and ultimately protect and prioritize your sacred inner self so you can thrive.

Build your self-love skills through one of our online courses, binge watch our encouraging videos, zen out with a guided meditation or be inspired to take action with one of our blog posts.

“The newsletters are amazing! They are incredibly empowering and help me step into my own and feel more confident about my body. But it goes so much deeper than that, it's about developing a deep, connected and loving relationship with yourself and these emails have definitely helped me do that. They are empowering, inspiring and thought provoking and anyone who is looking to feel better about themselves and develop a more loving relationship with their body would benefit greatly from signing up.”
